Roasted chestnuts

Chestnuts remind me of winter. They also remind me of my childhood.
It was mid November when I visited Graz. All over the town, streets were smelling of chestnuts. And at each corner, there was a stand selling "Maroni Rosterei".
That day in Graz was more like it was early spring, but roasted chestnuts tasted so beautiful. They were simply perfect. Just like when I was a kid.
These days, the weather in Belgrade is getting colder and colder. Winter is about to put its claws all over the town. And in my neighborhood, there are no roasted chestnuts stands in the streets.
No place to hide, just for a couple of minutes, just to get warm again.
And to feel that warm and longing scent of childhood.

Мy darlin' turned 45

On Nov 17th, there were just the two of us...

Chocolate cake and two candles.
And us, two souls, madly in love.
This autumn we drove thousands of kilometers, saw beautiful places and stunning sunsets.
We discovered some new passions, but the most intense is one that we share for each other.

I wish you many more happy, happy birthdays, my love!

SKYWATCH FRIDAY - Here comes the rain

This cloud looked as if it was waiting for me while I was driving home yesterday.
Like many times before, I've stopped my car, took my camera form my bag, and started to look for the best "part of the sky". Only a moments later, I felt a tiny drops of rain on my hands and face. I took a few more shots, jumped into car... and then - as if the whole sky turned down, towards the ground.
So, this was a shot taken in the very last moment :)
As if mother nature once again reminded us all not to forget to respect her, in all her moods!

Yesterday

Last evening I went with my dear friend Svetlana to one of the Belgrade's famous shopping malls - "Ušće" (estuary = "Ušće"; the mall is located at the very estuary of river Sava into Danube).

We celebrated her daughter's enrollment to prestigious Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade.
Svetlana and I are best friends since 1976, and as years went by, we became bonded as if we were sisters. Yesterday - we enjoyed in some girl's small talk, light snack and cool atmosphere of this bar.

Red car

This 4-wheel beauty caught my eyes couple days ago.
Each morning, I drive the same route from home to work, and there it is, lonesome, in a quiet and shady street.
Today, I've took my camera with me, with intention to stop and take a picture. And there it was - absolutely beautiful.
I felt such joy cause it made me feel that I'm passing through some street in Havana, Cuba. And Havana is one of the places in the world that I'm planning to visit... the sooner, the better.

So, this one is for good mood and for Cuba!

Gorgeous

I spend my days surrounded with concrete, traffic lights, PCs... In short - in a very urban and noisy place.

Last weekend, I've left to Palic lake (north of Serbia, near border with Hungary).

The weather was beautiful, I had a great company (my "significant other") and we finally had a chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this place that is so different from the one we see every day.

I'm so happy that I've captured this gorgeous swan, grooming himself near the shore.

I came back, filled with joy and energy - I'm already making plans for new adventures.
